After visiting the beekeeper, the guests get to visit the oldest place in the Opatija hinterland – Veprinac, where they, after taking a walk around the old town and visiting the church of St. Mark, also visit the Veprinac Ethno exhibition.
From Veprinac, the group takes the old road to the foothills of the mountain of Učka – the Krog lookout point. After the 15-minute hike, the guests reach Krog, where they can enjoy a panoramic view of central Istria, town Roč and Roč field. After the short break at Krog, the guests visit the local herbalist, where they can buy mixtures of herbal teas made from herbs collected on Učka. Following the old road, the tour then goes to Učka’s highest ridge, that is 1401 meters tall – Vojak. Vojak offers the most beautiful view of the Slovenian Alps, Triglav, and the Italian Dolomites as well as of Kvarner bay, its islands (Krk, Cres, Žeča, Unije and Lošinj) and Istria. When the sky is very clear, especially after rain, it is even possible to see Venice using binoculars. After half an hour of enjoying the most beautiful panoramic view in the region, the tour continues in the direction of Mala Učka.
The next stop is a secret location under the ridge of the mountain Učka, where the group will meditate with our goddess of nature – Vera; after the meditation, the group enjoys the sunset along with a picnic in the meadow. After tasting the homemade delicacies on the meadow picnic, there is a search for a hidden treasure. When the group successfully finds the treasure, they slowly head home.
